Publisher's summary

Welcome to Junebug Farms, a successful, well-known animal shelter in upstate New York, where every day brings something new - love, stress, heartbreak, warmth - and not just from the animals.

Catherine Gardner knows what it means to work hard. Growing up with little, it's pretty much all she's done for most of her life. As the bookkeeper for Junebug Farms, she handles the money. When Catherine finds herself undeniably attracted to Emily Breckenridge, daughter of the shelter's largest donor, it doesn't sit well with her. At all.

Emily Breckenridge has spent her life in the shadows of both her family's money and her brother, Clark. But when the reins of the family's charity foundation are taken from Clark and handed to Emily, it's her chance to shine on her own. Everything about Catherine Gardner is unexpected, from her emotional reserve to the crazy magnetic pull she has...one Emily can't seem to fight.

Love!!!

Georgia Beers never fails, and this book just adds to that fact! I lovers this book! The story, the patience of the character Emily, the jerk of a brother she had, and the delicate persona of Catherine. Mix in all the other characters and it made for a great story.
The narrator did such an amazing job with all the characters...it was like being a part of the story. Her voice for each character drew you in and drew a picture of the characters that Georgia laid out for the reader/listener. The affliction and emotion in Abby Craden's voice was so refreshing. It had me on the edge of my seat one minute and in tears the next...the emotion, the emotion, THE EMOTION she delivered was superb!!! Kudos to you Abby Craden!!! And to you Georgia thanks for the great stories!!

Well, melodramatic, but has redeeming features

Kinda lesbian soap opera with emphasis on finest money can buy snooty and so it's fantasy fluff.

Soo many questions..

I enjoyed the story but it still left me with unanswered questions. Didn't tie up the loose ends from the first book and brought up a few questions regarding this couple as well. I get that this was Catherine and Emily's story but Lisa and Ashley became side-chicks with no more focus on them at all. That made me a little sad but I still enjoyed the story just wanted, I don't know, more. Maybe I will get it in book three. Happy listening!

Another Cute Rescue Romance

I'm glad that this book answered some of the questions I had in the first book.

Emily and Catherine are cute. In the first book, it seemed that Catherine was cold and a little stand-offish, but you really get to know her in this story. Emily's pursuit of her was super sweet and very romantic! Each of them knew and were warned that a relationship between them could be disasterous, but neither could help it. Oh, and **spoiler: Mo gets an HEA himself 🐶🥰

Run to you… OR Run from you- Aye, that’s the question!

This story features lots of romantic spice as the main course, with a side of doggie love! There are some back stories that I wanted the writer to lean into a bit harder and by doing so, give more context to the challenges facing our main characters. More details regarding the brother’s behavior, gossiping associates or even pop culture references, would add credibility as cliches about fidelity or sincerity affected by local celebrity, money, work alliances, etc. have a basis in reality. But overall, this is a wonderful story with great narration!

Great story, part of an excellent group of books

This whole group of books around the animal shelter were excellently written and very engaging. The narration by Abby Craden was superb, as always (she has become one of my top narrators to seek out).

Love-Hate emotions

The journey was so painful for me to follow… because I felt it was so unrealistic… but that was my stuff..the story was beautifully complicated and romantic…
