A Powerful Novelization from Best-Selling Author Angela Hunt

Epic in scope yet deeply personal, this novelization offers a unique perspective on the story of the resurrection.

Roman Tribune Clavius is assigned by Pilate to keep the radical followers of the recently executed Yeshua from stealing the body and inciting revolution. When the body goes missing despite his precautions, Clavius must hunt it down. His investigation leads him from the halls of Herod Antipas to the Garden of Gethsemane and brings him in touch with believer and doubter alike. But as the body still remains missing, Clavius commits to a quest for the truth - and answers that will not only shake his life but echo throughout all of history.

Extraordinary telling of a well known event

I will definitely see the movie even though it cannot possibly compare to this book. This was a very interesting telling of the events of the cross. The author explains the creative liberties at the end so the reader/listener should not be critical is perceived inaccuracies.

A realistic view

An interesting insight into the events at that time and the effects they had on various people at that time.

Glad I didn't miss this one.

Jesus to a sceptic. They needed to know there is hope and Jesus proved He is God by His love and miracles

Read/listen to the book prior to the movie!

Beautifully written book founded in scripture. The fictional perspective of a Roman soldier of Christs death and resurrection. The message of sharing Christs love to all the world and that all are worthy of forgiveness.

Accurate and well done!!

As a Bible student I'm always on the look out for movies and articles on the Bible and it's many persons. But the life of Christ and his passion is always there as a favorite. Ms Hunt has done a great job of portraying the people of those last few days and the beginning of Christianity. This is a faithful rendition of the movie by that name. And gives clarity that the movie didn't because of time constraints. It was most enjoyed and will be listened to again and again. A delight!!

Moving story of Christ

I enjoyed this perspective of Jesus from the eyes of the Roman… and I also appreciated the way Hunt wound scriptures i knew into the storyline. As a reader of Christian fiction, however- I would have like the live story to end differently. I won’t spoil it if you haven’t read it yet.

Risen

I have the movie and I have watched it a million times and I love it! However, reading the book take a different spin on it that I truly loved. I have listened to it at least twice and will listen again. I loved it because it includes far more than the movie and I just used my imagination to fill in the spots that weren't they would have gone if in the movie! I would recommend to anyone who would like to view the possible side of the roman (gentile) view of the rising of our Lord. Awesome read!
