Excellent Trilogy

Any additional comments?

This series has been thrilling and engaging all the way through. Angus Watson has a distinct storytelling style and the books are innovative and exciting. The pace doesn't let up all the way through and this final book is a perfect climax to the trilogy.

Excellent

What did you like most about Reign of Iron?

The plethora of badger based swearing was brilliant.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reign of Iron?

Badger's spunk trumpet.. is perhaps the most memorable turn of phrase I have heard.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The ending was fantastic.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes.. there were several, but no spoilers shall be placed here. Having come to love the characters over the whole trilogy any situation where evil befalls any of them has the potential to be moving.

Any additional comments?

The 'of Iron' trilogy are great books to listen to, Sean Barrett does a brilliant job of bringing the characters to life. I can't remember another book which has moved me and made me laugh so much.

Brilliant Trilogy!

If you could sum up Reign of Iron in three words, what would they be?

"Absolutely loved it." The series flows easily and the characterisation is easily believed. Sad to finish the final book - as I would love to see the characters move forward - but I think this is always the reflection of a great story!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reign of Iron?

Throughout all three books, I have smiled at the expletives coming from the character, Doug - which was infective and became part of the dialogue with the other characters. One of the best fantasy stories I've read/ listened to, for a long time! (I also thought the final post-script was very funny!)

What about Sean Barrett’s performance did you like?

Brilliantly delivered and a pleasure to listen to! A real master of the art of story telling.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Sure - used any and every opportunity to listen to the story.

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to seeing what this author does next!

A master tale of Excitement

Where does Reign of Iron rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book is right up there with my Star Wars novels and of course Pillars of the Earth.

What other book might you compare Reign of Iron to, and why?

Pillars of the Earth

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The battles with Caesar and his legions against foreign troops was entertaining. But Spring was also a laugh.

Any additional comments?

This is an amazing series of books and I cannot recommend them any more than I have so far.
you will NOT be disappointed.
