Publisher's summary

Witness the rise of the Tudor dynasty in this concluding volume to Conn Iggulden's vigorous and commanding retelling of the Wars of the Roses.

England, 1470. A divided kingdom cannot stand. King Edward of York has been driven out of England. Queen Elizabeth and her children tremble in sanctuary at Westminster Abbey. The House of Lancaster has won the crown, but York will not go quietly.

Desperate to reclaim his throne, Edward lands at Ravenspur with a half-drowned army and his brother Richard at his side. Every hand is against them, every city gate is shut, yet the brothers York go on the attack. But neither sees that their true enemy is Henry Tudor, now grown into a man. As the Red Dragon - "the man of destiny" - his claim to the throne leads to Bosworth Field and a battle that will bring an end to the Wars of the Roses....

Rise of the Tudors Series

Every single book in this series kept me enthralled. The narration is excellent as well. I’ll be listening to every series by Mr. Iggulden.

Masterful Capture of Complex Period

Masterful capture of a very complex period in English history. Fine job of handling the many Richard, Edward, and Henry names - not a wide selection options for those noble classes during that era! Like all great historical fiction works. this has left me desiring to know more, and as such, I will search out those non-fiction works the author recommended. Excellent historical note summary chapter. Narration performance was excellent and consistent across the entire set. Great package of writing and narration.

Excellent historical novel

As with all of Conn Iggulden's books, this one is well researched, beautifully written, enjoyable and informative. I highly recommend this book and the entire War of the Roses series.

Great saga

It's a little confusing but well worth the effort to persist with the story. There are many twists and turns.

pretty good conclusion

I really have enjoyed this series on the war of the roses. this particular book want quite as good as the previous books in the series. I don't know if I had gotten too used to his way of telling stories but this wasn't as suspenseful as the other books. I actually felt he could've made this two books as the denoument felt a little rushed.

the author's depiction of Richard III was really good.

Epic 4th book in series

I’ve listened to Ravenspur twice and there are so many details and dialogues between people creating an important moment to remember that amazes me. The book is exceptional and I hope the author considers one more book to wrap this period. It is astonishing to see how events unfolded and how history may have changed if not for twists and turns, loyalty, commitment and strong convictions. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
