good book -poor narration

I have read the books in this series and have fully enjoyed them. I was so looking forward to the audio side to enhance the story further but was disappointed by the narrators performance.

I love these books but couldn't stand the narrator.

I've read all of gun brooke books and these are some of my favorite. I'll get all of them that come to audible but I hope they get a new narrator. Her voice is very harsh, she either doesn't pause or she pauses in the wrong places. The main female character and her Male XO voice are hard to tell apart. She might do well in her performance in other books but this one she completely missed the mark. It was almost painful to listen to at times.

Great series

I’ve read all the books in this series, several times and was eagerly anticipating the first of them being in audio. However, I have to agree that the narration is bad. When voicing characters for audio books are the narrators given any direction as to who the characters are based on? I always find that when listening to lesbian fiction in audible most of the narrators seem to think one of the two main leads has a deep voice. Please, we are not trying to be or sound like men, we are women and speak with normal female voices. Just because of one the characters acts butch, doesn’t mean their voice is as well. Let’s try and be realist here audible. So far your best narrators are Lisa Cordileone and Hollie Jackson in this genre.
