Lilly Yazhi knows all she needs to know about Clay Tahoma, Virgin River's new veterinary assistant. Sure, he's got a certain appeal befitting his Navajo roots, but she's not falling for Clay's silent, "earthy" attractiveness. She can't deny his gift for gentling horses, but she's not about to let him control her. There's just one small problem - she can't control her attraction to him.

One of Robyn Carr's best.
I really enjoy the Robyn Carr's Virgin River books but this one took a different tack - mainly I guess because it explores the culture/traditions of Natives Americans - something I know nothing about.
The most memorable moment was when Lilly presented Clay's mother with her Betrothal cake. I could just imagine Clay standing behind Lilly watching with pride as his 'Intended' and his mother met for the first time.
Therese Plummer is an amazing narrator and I enjoy her readings immensely. But for this book my favourite character is Lilly.
I think I would like to go out to dinner with Clay's mother - I would like the opportunity to hear more about the traditions of her home and family.
