Deputy U. S. Marshals Skip Garrett and Terry McGreggor refuse to let the Feds or the local Highway Patrol stop them from pursuing the men suspected of murdering their friend, fellow officer and Mormon ward member, Wally Fuller. Three escaped convicts from Montana's Deer Lodge prison are the prime suspects, and Pete Miller is the worst of them. Pete, along with Carl Meeks and Jimmy Conklin, lead the marshals on a dangerous chase through the Montana wilderness, headed toward the Canadian border. The criminals are far from being brought to justice until a hero from the past joins Skip and Terry in the pursuit. Together they bring the killers to a just revenge.More

It was good, good enough for a roadtrip.
I would. Not enthusiastically but indeed I would
Yes. Because I am a sucker for fables.
That's the point with an audio book like this, right? Good enough for a road trip? Indeed it is. Laden with LDS overtones and "the good guys always win", its a feel good (for some) modern day western. If you like the sound of denim working leather while real men in the saddle commence to real man things in an effort to corner their query, this one if for you. Twisted together like barbed wire the scent of sage and pine saunter in on the breeze like the Mormon henchman O. P. Rockwell moves in and out of frame. Mountain air and the scent of leather permeate the cab of your pick up while Rusty sews together the words of Marc Otte in this Modern day outlaw round up. Add elk meat and firearms and I say, how can you go wrong.
Way too predictable, but still enjoyable.
