Publisher's summary

From Robert Kent, author of All Together Now, comes a new tale of terror. College student Brock Clouser is working a summer job delivering pizzas. During a run to the outskirts of Harrington, Indiana, he wrecks his car at an isolated country home. Though most everyone there has been violently murdered, he's not alone.

Warning: This is a novelette, not a full novel, and it's mean and nasty and intended for a mature audience. It is absolutely not appropriate for younger listeners. It's a gruesome, repugnant tale featuring horrific acts of violence sure to warp young minds. Also, these particular characters speak in extremely coarse language.

Loved this!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! I already told my hubby he should listen. I think so many people will enjoy this but especially since it's so short. I listened while cleaning!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Pizza Delivery?

The wording at the beginning when the narrator is talking about the crime. The reader (or listener) knows something bad is going to happen so the setup was fabulous.

What about David Radtke’s performance did you like?

Everything! The beginning was done in an almost Twilight Zone type of introduction and then when David got to Brock's voice it was more clean. I enjoyed the inflection and emphasis when Brock gets himself into trouble.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES! Well, I was cleaning, so standing.

Any additional comments?

Any fan of horror will like this. It's short but packed full of intense moments. David Radtke does a great job of setting us up with his voice.

Interesting Premise, Unappealing Lead Character

Would you try another book from Robert Kent and/or David Radtke?

Sure. Overall, I enjoyed this story once the story really kicked in, but the main character just wasn't that interesting. The narration was okay, fitting for the lead character and the writing was fun and energetic.

Would you be willing to try another book from Robert Kent? Why or why not?

Same as above, I hope his other lead characters are a little more interesting, but this was still a good story.

Have you listened to any of David Radtke’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to anything else by him.

Do you think Pizza Delivery needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Nah. Part of the appeal of the story was that you didn't have all of the answers, even by the end. Just a dumb kid tripping into a horrible situation, not knowing what was going on and not really caring, just trying to get away.

Any additional comments?

Not the best horror story, but it will pass the time.
