Picture perfect

The author is amazing her description of characters and scenery make you feel and see them as though you were there. The story brings you to a subject that is not easy to hear about and for me fortunately not one I ever experienced. This is the third book I have read by her and each one has kept me riveted. I would recommend this and any of her other books as a wonderful reading choice.

hard hitting as always

Once again she nails it like she has lived it! Lots of subjects can be told from actual events and passed off as novels and then there's Jodi, somehow someway she manages to envelope the reader into every story every life and make you ache for her characters... nail bitting suspense eith heart felt issues of life... by far my favorite author.

Excellent Read!

I loved this book. Anytime a book can bring me into a dream world, it's a success in my mind. I was dreaming about this storyline and I know the attention to detail in creating the characters was carefully placed. I really want to see this as a movie now. She captivates you with the unfortunate reality of an abusive relationship. The twists and turns, the undertone of control, and desire to be needed were all present. I'd happily read this again in the future.

Loved it! This is such a good book! The narrators did a wonderful job on this.

Hmmm ?!?!

The story line was great. Loved the characters. Physical and emotional abuse is a very real problem and as a reader (and previous victim) I knew and understood the feelings and thoughts and what would likely happen. glad there was a focus on getting help. Wish there was a sequel or expanded ending, it felt abrupt

The main character

The main character is problematic. I can not believe she would put up with all the abuse. It was completely unbelievable.

Great storyline!

As always, Jodi never disappoints with her stories & messages. IMO she is one of the BEST authors, bringing important issues to light. I loved the narration of this story immensely!

Bad ending

Not her best story telling . I was waiting for a better end to the story.

Great internal perspective

Enjoyed the story overall. As i am not an avid reader/listener, I struggled to finish. The ending was wonderful, however, I would have liked the story to be developed sooner ans end earlier.

Truth and courage

To everyone who has ever wondered about their choices, their relationships with themselves and others, and if they would ever find the courage within themselves to make necessary and life changing choices, this book is for you. The author, as always, has taken the reader into a world that, unfortunately exists for some, and for others it gives a glimpse into a world we question and sometimes judge.
