I love this book.

Would you listen to Persian Pickle Club again? Why?

I have read the book before and I enjoyed listening to it this time.

What did you like best about this story?

How loyal the members of the Persian Pickle Club are to one another. I love how they kept confidences.

Which scene was your favorite?

Where the Road to Californi' quilt is left for Queenie and the final scene.

Persian Pickle: Good Historical Fiction Read

If you could sum up Persian Pickle Club in three words, what would they be?

Protective Loyal Friendship

What other book might you compare Persian Pickle Club to and why?

It reminds me of a very mild version of

What does Ali Ahn bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her voice has a touch of antiquity to it without sounding old, being that the narrator was a young woman in the 1930s.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The edge of my seat came when the narrator and Rita were confronted on the road.
