Publisher's Summary

Who has not been thrilled and not a little frightened by tales of ghosts, spirits, hauntings, and monsters? Some of the most fascinating accounts come from the dark hollows of the Ozark Mountains. For generations, these scary, mystifying legends have been told around campfires and family gatherings and handed down through the generations. Now, for the first time, the best of these tales have been gathered together and presented in this volume.

LOVE his stories!

I had the privilege of having W. C. Jameson as my geography professor at UCA. I loved it when he would tell us about his travels. He's an awesome storyteller. I wish he would've been the narrator on this book!

hampered by the narrator

the stories are great. painting a side of the USA which I have never seen again. unfortunately while the actual prose of the writing should have been enough to bring these tales to life, the narration seemed somewhat lifeless. a little monotonous, like a teacher reading a text out. can't fault the enunciation though.
