One look and I knew Cole was mine. My dark rebel in leather. My powerhouse of passion, devastating smiles, and impulsiveness. When his job sends him overseas, he promises to return to me. A promise that's destroyed in the most irrevocable way.
Two years later an arrogant suit invades my heartbroken loneliness. Clean-cut and stern, Trace is everything Cole wasn't. At first he's a job that will rescue my dance company. But as he intrudes on my life, our hostile relationship evolves.
He knows I'm still in love with Cole, but his dedication is my undoing. Then a catastrophic moment changes everything. Promises resurface. Lies entangle. And an impossible choice shatters my world.
I love two men, and I can have only one.

Lisa Zimmerman is by far the BEST narrator I've ever heard! The inflection and annunciation were perfect! I could physical hear the difference in emotions from the character. I could clearly tell the difference between the characters inner dialogue vs actual dialogue. That alone is a phenomenal ability and I applaud Lisa for achieving it! I also loved her tone changes between all the secondary characters. There was an obvious difference between characters voices and they were believable and on point! Lisa truly captured the essence of the story and characters and I would HIGHLY recommend this audiobook to all romance fans. I will be buying book 2 (TWO IS A LIE) and can't wait to hear how Lisa does with it!

Well I don't know how to review this one... I think maybe I had too high of expectations going in to this book. I'm 50/50 about what I liked and disliked. I liked Danni's relationship with Cole, they had great chemistry, I also I loved how she took care of everyone who needed it. Other than that though, I was not a fan of Danni. She made me crazy and I rolled my eyes a few too many times. I loved how confident she was most of the time but she also made a lot of bad decisions and they mostly felt like a way to get attention which honestly she didn't need because she surely wasn't lacking for attention. I normally love the dark brutish alpha male but I also like them to be confident and honest and Trace wasn't either of those thing most of the time. The scene when they are together for the first time almost has me stopping this book because it was so ridiculous and immature. Those were my thoughts on the first part of the book. THEN once these two got their stuff together, I started to really like them both. They were acting like adults in love and their chemistry finally started to really sizzle for me. I liked Trace once he got what he wanted, oh and I forgot to mention I did really like how he was willing to do whatever made her happy like helping the shelter, that was sweet. Once they found their way, they were HOT!
The end was not a surprise for me at all. I saw every second of that coming about 1/3 of the way into the book. This "shock" ending really didn't leave me needing to know what happened next. I wasn't sure at that point if I wanted to continue on to book 2 but after talking to a friend she told me I should give 2 a shot so I am. I am going to try and go in with an open mind and not let all the things I didn't love about this book sway my thoughts starting book 2.
The narration was ok. She is a good narrator, great at keeping things easy to follow by giving each character their own voice. I don't know if it was her voice or not that had me disliking Danni from the beginning and in the beginning her male voice wasn't working for me with Cole/Trace but after awhile I forgot about all that and enjoyed her work.
