Literally Literature
I do not even recall why downloaded this novel, but I'm so glad that I did. I am already looking forward to re-reading it. The author captures the beauty and essence of Maine's costal lifestyle, while unraveling a beautiful story of four adult siblings drawing closer together after their mother's death. The writing is almost poetic in the often subtle symbolism makes the story exquisite.

Tedious
What would have made North Haven better?
I don't know if I'll get past (26%) the preparing and cooking of a lobster dinner which goes on for pages, boringly, discussing how each person tears apart and eats their lobster! Almost, if not, a full chapter. I feel that way too much time was spent on a lot of unimportant stuff! Reading might be better since one can skip over the repetitiveness.
