Publisher's Summary

Morgan Gower works at Cullen's hardware store in north Baltimore. Not my favorite of Anne Tyler

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. I love Anne Tyler's books, but I was disappointed in this one. I didn't find the 'upside' in it as I have in her other books. In all Anne Tyler's other books, I could always find a humorous aspect, but in 'Morgan's Passing' I found it wanting. Perhaps part of this was due to the narrator's performance. There seemed to be a negative undertone in her delivery.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have liked more of a positive spin to the story.

What three words best describe Angele Masters’s performance?

A negative undertone

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No
