Mixed Opinion
I had a hard time enjoying this book due to the narration... The constant swallowing sounds and the overall lack of feeling behind it left me wishing I had read the book myself. I would recommend not getting the audio version and perhaps it will be a more enjoyable story.

Almost Great
This is a very well written book, with almost all characters being both memorable and likable. It is unfortunate that the exception for most of the book was the second lead character Rachel Hart who up until the end of the book seems to be too much of a pain to put up with no matter how hot she might be. Her contempt for her father and total indifference to the death of his wife of 25 years paint her as a cold, bitter, heartless automaton. In the end she reveals more of what you can only hope is her true character. The grief group that Courtney begins attending has a couple of characters who do a good job of moving the story forward. Lisa helps bring Courtney forward and contributes to her recovery and Ted who isn't utilized as much as he could be, although the reason he isn't; isn't difficult to understand by the end of the story. Courtney's brother-in-law Marky (Mark) Manneti is another really good character and the connection he and Courtney share is sweet, though perhaps a bit too shallow. I had no problem giving this one 5 stars.

meh, good story
story was good. not the best but if you a fan of LGBT books this is a good one for some lesbian lovin' . good beginning, it's set the stage well, though the plot kinda plateaus and slows later.
be warned though you can hear people talking in the background studio near the mid story. it's not very noticeable but dear god did it annoy me. you might not notice, so don't let this review put you off
