Not for me

This was hard for me to finish. The story was not interesting or engaging. The characters one dimensional. The narration was fine except for when Janet spoke, it was like introspective slow asian??? It was really annoying . I also did not care for the constant use of the "hearing the characters thoughts" just too much. Maybe I have reached my Radclyffe saturation limit!

Not the best.

Ok first something positive.
I liked the Marshal Arts theme about the book.
What I have issues with is, the narrator wasn't the best. it was hard to take the characters seriously, there was alot of cheese dialogue.
The story line wasn't very well develop.
there was no background to any of the characters. so when Susan's Alcohol issues came up it was confusing, then with in days she's better. and Draws past, I felt would of made better since to explain, especially when she ran off and ended up at the bar.
The whole fight scene could of been describe better.
So I guess what I'm really frustrated about is Redcliffe is an amazing writer. It's just this book was lacking. there was no dept to it.
So I say read it for yourself, I just wasn't to happy about it.
