Love the What If
Camilla Isley wrote a great and original book with parallel stories. I loved the premise of What If. Life does not give us mulligan's, but this book did! What a unique concept for the book, with the Heart Knows. This is the first book I've listened to by Camilla Isley. Audra Cook did a great performance bringing realistic emotions and distinguishable voices for the various characters. I really enjoyed the storylines in this book, and thought the outcome was great. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Interesting concept - fun book!
Have you ever been at a crossroad and wondered which path to take? Camilla Isley explores this dilemma in The Love Connection. It’s quite an interesting concept to write side by side stories in the same novel.
Gemma, the main character, has two airline tickets in her possession – one will take her to her best friend’s wedding and the other to her ex-boyfriend’s wedding, a man she never stopped loving. In one story, she chooses to attend her friend’s wedding in order to stop her from marrying a philandering man. In the other story, she goes to stop the wedding of her old love and plead for him to choose her instead.
There are a lot of amusing moments and some of it you know could never happen in the real world. But that is what romantic comedies are for – to delve into a world of romantic fantasy and laugh over unlikely situations.
The Love Connection was more than a simple romance. I found myself wondering about the paths I’ve had to choose and where I would be if I had made different choices. Would fate and destiny intervene and land me where I am today? Or would my life be completely different? These questions will be answered by the end of the book.
I listened to the audio version of this book, narrated by Audra Cook. The narration was done very well. Ms. Cook spoke clearly and did a nice job varying the voices. Her execution was enjoyable and pleasant.
I would definitely read or listen to another book by this author.
