What the Critics Say

"Geoffrey Lewis emerges as a man with a vision about our fragile human condition. More than that, he can draw upon our emotions with the deft skill of a poet who knows how to use cadence and image and words." (Hollywood Reporter)
"Celestial Navigations is no adventure for the fainthearted or lilylivered. It's sure to take you far out and in this case far in. A daring journey of discover and self discovery, exciting and joyous. (DramaLogue)

What made the experience of listening to Living the Lives the most enjoyable?

Geoffrey Lewis' masterful storytelling abilities and straight-to-the-heart subject matter had me crying tears of joy and appreciation - and I'm a tough guy to please.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Living the Lives?

For instance, the Explorer, the Hunchback, the War Veteran, the Father - all unsung heroes who never won an award, got wealthy or even acknowledged for their sterling virtues and deeds. Yet, without PR - but only a brief tale - each of these "fictional" characters were as real to me as I am to myself. Geoff Levin and company's musical accompaniment provided the perfect setting and tone for each story's dramatic statement and satisfying endings. Spiced-up musical arrangements - even some background vocals - enhanced the presentation as well.

Have you listened to any of Geoffrey Lewis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've been following these gentlemen for decades and am honored to have met such talented artists personally. I have never been disappointed with their live or recorded performances and am happy to report this release is no exception. But "Living the Lives" was special in that it served as a reminder of all those pleasurable experiences - summarizing their whole career and reviving that thirst for affinity with fellow man because deep-down, he is good.

Who was the most memorable character of Living the Lives and why?

Master actors like Lewis ARE the character/s themselves - no doubt. Each and every character from each story was right on the money.
