Heartwarming

This is the first book I ever read by Ms Storm. It was very light reading; a break from my usual. It was very clean, yet not religious. I found parts of it interesting, facts about Alaska, sled dogs and the Iditarod. At the very end there was a note, not from the author, but the author’s husband. That, too, was interesting. I consider this book very light reading, a little fluff, if you know what I mean. Yet, it was enjoyable. The narrator did fine.

Sled dog basics

I’ve only just started listening to this but I’m already finding contradictions with it. I own and run sled dogs myself and yes they’re born and bred to work but that does not mean in any way that they can’t be treated like pets!. Normally speaking sled dogs get treats just like normal house dogs but usually the ones that are known to fight are fenced off from others so they don’t cause fights. I believe the author needs to actually spend time at a kennel herself because most sled dogs are treated better than house dogs their owners treat the dogs better than themselves I know I do.

geared to teens

the maturity level of Lauren was ridiculous. Especially how she WOULD NOT respect her employers wishes to respect his space.
