Publisher's Summary

For Miranda, Newark has nothing to offer except a dead-end job, a crummy apartment, and an abusive boyfriend. But when her younger sister signs her up for an online dating website to prove to her the kinds of guys who would be interested in her, she starts an online connection with the perfect guy. He's handsome, he's a real-life cowboy, and... he's in his 70s!
Miranda steps off the bus to find the man of her dreams waiting for her, only he doesn't know it. His elderly father, concerned that his six sons are isolated on their highly prosperous 800,000 acre ranch signed up one of his oldest boys and did a little matchmaking behind their backs.
Now Miranda and Casey have a choice to make, but will they be willing to put aside their mistrust and give this a shot, or go their separate ways?

Decent story

It was a good book, but the author clearly doesn't understand the difference between a farm (where you raise crops) and a ranch (where you raise livestock).

Also kept feeling like it was a 1900/2000 cross and mixed all up.

If you can tolerate the inconsistency of the time then read the book.

Not Her Usual

70-year-old patriarch with 6 sons decides that the oldest four need wives. They own a ranch in Texas that takes up over 800,000 acres. His wife died ten years ago and the house has lost the feminine touch. He gets on the internet and sets up profiles for each man. He is 50 years older than the oldest son. This is book 1 and he not only secures a wife for his surly oldest son but she brings her sister along and low and behold they fall in love. Wow! The narrator did not help this story and the story was stilted which made the narrator sound stilted as well. The concept was good but I am not sure about how the story was written. It is a modern day mail order bride series. The online dating turned out pretty good not like the horror stories that many online daters go through.
