Publisher's summary

Displacement, replacement, injection, rejection, the best and the worst birthdays ever, vengeful spirits, disgruntled bridge trolls, a semi-sappy Satan, Bloody Mary as you've never seen her, Bigfoot, a suburban brush with the undead, rainbows you don't want to find the end of, and more.

This collection includes mostly dark and sometimes humorous poetry, flash fiction, and short stories from the mind of Michelle Kilmer, including "Mirielle", a finalist in the Crypticon 2014 Writing Contest.

Something for everyone

What made the experience of listening to Last Night While You Were Sleeping the most enjoyable?

The short stories were well thought out and put together. The Narrator spoke clearly and was easy to hear.

Who was your favorite character and why?

There isn't just one. The stories that left the deepest impressions were Merielle 1 &2 I had read part one before and it broke the Creep-O-Meter it was nice to get the rest of the story. Order In I makes you think of the possibility of souls going into the wrong shell of a body,Obachan a nice take on an old folklore of a grandmother and child. and Michelle's take on Bloody Mary, because it was unique that it took you further into what it must be like for Bloody Mary herself.

Have you listened to any of Neil Holmes’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not that I remember. He did an excellent job at Narrating.

Who was the most memorable character of Last Night While You Were Sleeping and why?

I think the Author herself. She has such insight into the human condition to invoke feeling for each character she writes about.
