Publisher's Summary

In a battle of the heart, who will be the first to submit?
My name is Jamie Atwood, and I am an idiot. Against all odds, I got the attention of Michael Kage, the hottest MMA fighter on the planet. To say he rocked my world would be an understatement. He transformed me completely, made me depend on him, and made me love him. And the sex? Let me put it this way: I'd never been with a guy before I met Kage, but I'd gladly spend the rest of my life on my knees for him. He is my obsession and my addiction. But I did something stupid, and now I'm paying for it. I don't know if I'll ever see Kage again.
Being Michael Kage was never easy. Too many demons, too much anger, and not enough to live for. And then I met Jamie Atwood. He's got this innocence about him that speaks to something deep down inside me - in a place that's never been touched by anyone. He's beautiful, smart, and courageous, and he hasn't been tainted by the darkness that's ruled my life. I wanted him from the first second I laid eyes on him. It's selfish, I know. Because you can't bring an innocent thing into the darkness and not expect something to rub off.

New favorite romance author

I love Kage and Jamie! Their relationship may be a roller coaster, but they always wind up where they both need to be. In each others arms. But Maris Black still leaves me desperate to find out what is going to happen next. I think I have a new favorite romance author. I can't wait to read more of her books and conclude Jamie and Kage's story. Also the narrator, J F Harding does a fantastic job. I will be looking into more of his audiobooks as well.

Great Trilogy and Great Narration!

I'm really enjoying this trilogy! It was recommended to me by a friend. The author and narrator were both new to me and they both have a new fan now! Book 2 picks up right where Book 1 left off! Kage and Jamie are so hot together and the author writes it so you can actually feel the attraction between them! Kage is an MMA fighter, Jamie is a college student doing an internship as a PR Rep for Kage. Their relationship has a lot of secrets but also at lot of love! There is a secretive backstory going on that I still haven't figured out. I'm jumping right into book 3! This book has it all...excitement, love, drama and seriously hot sex!

I'm becoming a huge fan of J.F. Harding, his narration is perfect and that's voice....yep it is hot too!

Another great narration from JF.....

Yes, there were a few little niggles in this 2nd audio instalment of the trilogy, but there were so many characters in this particular story, I'm amazed the narrator kept track of everything and as far as I remember, didn't get a single voice wrong.

Not as good as the first

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Started off well but lost the appeal of the first book. Story was ok.

What was most disappointing about Maris Black’s story?

Not as gripping as the first book. Story is not as thrilling as the first.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Good narration though out.

If this book were a film would you go see it?
