Publisher's summary

What should be just business becomes much more when two women agree to a deal that changes their lives. Real estate tycoon Dillon Matthews, in the middle of negotiating the deal of her life, is stunned when the owner of the small parcel of land she desperately needs to complete her latest project presents the final condition she must meet to close the deal. Callie Sheffield is struggling to pay the attorney she has hired to appeal her brother's conviction for a crime he didn't commit. When Dillon and Callie meet by chance, they realize each has what the other needs. A simple business transaction will give them both what they need - until love threatens to derail the negotiations.

Good Listen!

The story was interesting and the characters insightful. The book started off fast and then slowed down but it didn't hurt the story line. I wasn't overly happy with the ending, felt it could have been fleshed out a little more. Overall good book.

All over the place

Stilted narration. Stilted writing. Waste of a credit. Find an average fic online and it will be better than this book.

this book was great. the author brings the characters to life and it's one of those old books your so into your feeling the pain the characters are going through n are rooting for them.

Good Book, lack of ending

The book itself was pretty good, it's the ending the completely fizzled, that kind of made me sad.

LOVED THIS BOOK!

Julie Cannon does it again! I finished this book at 2am, because I couldn't stop listening to it. Both characters were great! Dylan has too much money and wants more, but she suddenly needs to have a girlfriend to impress the man who she hopes will sell her some real estate. she meets Callie and the attraction is mutual. they attend functions as a pretend couple, but really want each other. when things get serious, Callie needs financial help/lawyer for her brother in jail and Dylan thinks she needs a wife... Callie thinks their love is real, but it takes Dylan longer to realize her own feelings. Awesome read and listen. thank you, Julie Cannon!

worth the read?

For a pleasant change from some of the other milk toast lesbian books, there's frequent and passionate sex scenes. But the story is hard to get into. Reads like Cinderella personified. So I put up with a very weak story for the mingled with good sex.

This is a good story and I really like Julie Cannon. You can always count on her for an entertaining ride to the end of her stories. It was beautifully read.

good hard story

The story is a good one but hard too. the pain felt real.
The narration is good but I rated it low for production values. All but one chapter had a persistent background hiss. the tone on the good chapter made the rest feel inconsistent.
