With help, Etta rescues the horse, and she and her friends form a syndicate to pay for her upkeep. As the horse recovers, she begins to show racing pedigree, so the syndicate enters her into a maiden hurdle - and are shocked at the result.

Extremely unlikable

Rarely do I listen to a book and not finish it but this one was one of those.

20 hours into the book and I finally gave up on the unpleasant characters, animal cruelty, questionable morals and continual negative events that befell animals and people.

Jumping over the top!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

A book for animal lovers.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Jump!?

Some terribly over the top bedroom scenes.

Which character – as performed by Gerri Halligan – was your favorite?

Dora Belvedon is performed as a great combination of jolly hockey sticks enthusiasm and gutter journalist.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

The book goes for 27 hours!

Any additional comments?

Jilly Cooper is low-brow fiction, but she has a huge heart. Nothing is more important to her than human kindness.

Absolutely fantastic!

Where does Jump! rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Jump was a joy to listen to, I felt completely captivated by all the characters and relished how long it was. The moment finished it I listened to it another 2 times back to back!

What other book might you compare Jump! to, and why?

Jilly Cooper novels have there own particular style so I'm not sure what other novel I'd compare it to. It provides a great insight into high and rural society which is extremely captivating.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

I enjoyed the scenes at the races and the scenes with Valent and Eta chatting together.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending is amazing.

Any additional comments?

perfecto!

great as always

I love Jilly Cooper's rutshire series and I enjoyed this book very much. I will admit though that the quality isn't quite what it used to be. less sex and rock and roll and a bit more years and fickleness. I still loved it though. narration was fantastic!

Jumping, Booze and Bonking

Although I enjoyed Jump, I found it difficult to keep track of the vast array of characters and horses. For someone who knows little about horses and show jumping, I thought that there was too much emphasis on this aspect of the story and would have preferred more about the lives of the characters.

This book would appeal to anyone who knows more about show jumping and horses than I do.
