Slow but surprising

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Sure

Has John Crow’s Devil turned you off from other books in this genre?

No it hasn't.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Robin Miles?

Sure

Could you see John Crow’s Devil being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Not at all.

Any additional comments?

Slow start. The characters were typical but well rounded. I found myself become very irritated with the blind faith of these characters which means the author did a great job of forming them and exposing their flaws. The ending was not expected. I loved the setting and the cultural beliefs of the characters. They reminded me of several family members! Overall, pretty good read.

amazing

The entire book was exceptionally gripping. Raw, beautiful, difficultly, but necessarily, thought provoking. A rewarding challenge but easy to read as each finished chapter ignited a thirst to continue listening.
