All that changes when he finds himself in the hospital recovering from a gunshot wound. His request to go home to his family is proving impossible. According to the doctor, the shooting not only shattered Keith's body, but it caused him to forget the past seven years of his life. He's divorced now, his little boys are teenagers, and his wife is dating another man! Keith vows to win back his family and discover the secret that tore them apart in the first place.
Meanwhile, Jillian Foster has been trying to forget Keith and their turbulent past. After the shooting, she can't help but feel obligated to help the father of her children recover his memory and restore his health. She's just not sure what exactly that obligation entails. This is a good one

Would you listen to Jillian's Promise again? Why?

If I had more hours in my life I would. But there are too many books I want to listen to, to go back to one even a good one like this.

What other book might you compare Jillian's Promise to and why?

Probably one of Nora Roberts early romance books. There was a lot of development of characters and story. So even though it was actually two stories in one it was well written.

Which scene was your favorite?

When the hero was trying to talk himself out of taking a drink. And when the little girl ran up to her Daddy.

Who was the most memorable character of Jillian's Promise and why?

All of them were done very well. You could definitely distinguish between characters but I believe either the little girl or the oldest teen.

Any additional comments?

I got this book via audiobook boom. I loved it. The author told two love stories without explicit sex and language. A very well written book.

Another Great Christian Fictional Romance

I enjoyed the first book in the "Rose Island" series and this second book does not disappoint! This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone as well.

The narrator did an outstanding job bringing the story to life and differentiating between characters voices! I loved her voices.

This book is written by a Christian author so there are dialogues about God and prayer. It is very uplifting and inspirational. The story deals with PTSD, divorce, amnesia, loss, and love. The story has depth and caught my attention from the beginning. There are two separate stories going on at once and they intertwine at the end.

I'm looking forward to the next book by this talented author & narrator.
