Publisher's Summary

FBI Special Agents Kim Otto and Carlos Gaspar have received a special off-the-books assignment: build a secret file on Jack Reacher. In this short story, Otto and Gaspar reveal a bit of themselves as they make every effort to put Jack in a Box using legal means John Grisham fans admire. Lee Child and Jack Reacher fans know that no one boxes with Jack and lives to tell about it. Will Otto and Gaspar be the first to succeed where so many have failed?

This is a Test

I've now read all three of Diane Capri's looking for Jack Reacher novellas and enjoyed them enough to try the two long play selections in the series. In this story they approach an accident on the highway and find the Vice President's daughter and grandchild and a corpse; made that way by one Jack Reacher. The man caused an accident and then attacked the woman, not counting on Reacher.
Agent Otto makes a brief trip back to Wisconsin to visit her dying (again) grandmother and is reminded once again that having a Vietnamese mother distances her from her blonde haired blue eyed German cousins.
A good short story; a format that fits the series well.

TERRIFIC but realize it's a 'short story'

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely. It's a continuation of a great series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Otto and Gaspar tie. They are perfect for each other.

What does Kelley Hazen and Storyteller Productions bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her delivery of the piece, like in Don't Know Jack, is just spot on to the intention of the story. A clean, no-nonsense, direct, unemotional presentation. Very straightforward as one expects the FBI to be. I can't imagine anyone else narrating these.

Who was the most memorable character of Jack in a Box and why?

There aren't a lot of characters in this short story. I like the agent from Dallas that they come into contact with briefly. I like Capri's strong women.

Any additional comments?

I like the use of short story to give us a brief episode in the series. It's a nice diversion from a full length listen.
