Publisher's summary

From spring to summer, autumn to winter, a lot can happen in a single year....

Tilly Parker needs a fresh start, fresh air, and a fresh attitude if she is ever to leave the past behind and move on with her life. As she seeks out peace and quiet in a new town, taking on a plot at Ivy Lane allotments seems like the perfect solution.

But the friendly Ivy Lane community has other ideas and gradually draw Tilly in to their cosy, comforting world of planting seedlings, organizing bake sales, and planning seasonal parties.

As the seasons pass, will Tilly learn to stop hiding amongst the sweetpeas and let people back into her life - and her heart?

A charming and romantic story certain to make you smile - perfect for fans of Carole Matthews, Trisha Ashley, and Katie Fforde.

Ivy Lane was originally published as a four-part serial. This is the complete story in one package.

Uneventful

This book is a slow moving story, probably best enjoyed by the twenty something set. Charming narration kept me engaged. 3 stars.

Nice story

I love gardening, overcoming obstacles and British accents. This novel provided all three. Easy listening.

Ivy Lane

Any additional comments?

I love Colleen Prendergast narration and that is why I picked this book.
I mostly enjoyed the story but I found it a little predictable. Some great characters is this book. I have never read Cathy Bramley before but I would give another book a go. It defiantly kept me interested and I was interested to find out what happened with Tilly

What a disappointment!

I loved Patchwork Family and read a second book and loved that. I enjoyed the narrator's style and looked forward to a third book by the same team...WRONG! This was one of the most unpleasant "heroines" I have ever struggled through. The whole character of Charlie was just a toss in to make her seem even more desirable and she was judgmental and whiney for the first 35 chapters. I hated every chapter a little more but felt like it HAD to get better, since I loved the other 2 books. Again, WRONG! My family said "Please just stop listening" and today I finally went to the last chapter to see if I would like her any better...but I just saved myself and my poor annoyed family several more days of me struggling thru it and returned it. What a waste of time! I NEVER write bad reviews, but this book deserves to be ignored if possible.

Wonderful ...

This book was every bit as good as A Patchwork Family. Very soothing feel-good story and lovable characters and lovely description of small town UK.

Almost made me want to garden!

A great story that taught me a little about gardening along the way! The author painted a lovely picture of an entire community, all centered on their garden allotments. The people at Ivy Lane are as varied as their choice fo garden plants! The story has great ups and downs, to keep you along for the ride. Having a secret to find out also helps! A good escape.

Cute

Could listen to the narrator all day. In fact, my son walked in & said he could listen to her read the dictionary! The descriptions make me ready to garden...

Great narrator, slow story

Colleen Prendergast is a great narrator, but this story was not great. It was slow & in parts it felt like the author was trying too hard to build intrigue (and it wasn't working). Didn't love it.

Good, but predictable

Nice listen, just nothing too shocking, relaxing. More great narration by Colleen Prendergast.
