Loved the book, hated the narrator!!
I liked the story. However, if I didn't have trouble seeing, I would've stopped listening because of the narrator!! She is horrible, I mean who on earth actually talks that way?? She has weird pronunciation of words, that started to really drive me crazy!! (especially the word "garage" she prounances it "gaa-raage".) Also, she is terrible with her rendition of the character's voices!! She actually took away from the humor that the author intended.Stephanie Bond is a great author, however, this narrator hurt her book! I hope she doesn't use her in the future!!
EVERYTHING!!! Especially the way she prounances certain words, (especially garage! omg! I wanted to slap her & tell her to speak right!!)Also, she does a terrible job with the character's voices! Book would've been so much better with a different narrator!!
I laughed out loud in few places, was on the edge of my seat, & could barely stop listening because I enjoyed the story so much! I actually almost stopped listening because of the narrator, but couldn't because I wanted to finish the book!!
Looking forward to book two in this series, as well as many of the author's other books!

A bad narrator
Nothing really. For reasons beyond me they hired a woman with a thick Canadian accent to read this book that is supposed to take place in Cajun country.
Yes if they get a different narrator or the story takes place in Canada.
Her accent and when the narrator did the voice of Penny's young assistant she made her sound like a 40 year old truck stop waitress from Toronto who smokes a pack a day.
Penny, she did fulfil the role of heroine but she could be painfully stupid at times. I know that was done to drive the plot along but it got a little silly at times. But overall a cute fun story.
