Confusing/hurried
I stopped & started this novel several times which could have been the problem, but I could not keep the multiple names straight for the male protagonist. Additionally towards the end I don’t understand why the author brought all the pieces together in a few chapters while the weaving of the story took up the bulk of beginning & middle.

Really just so good
I don’t like anything ever but I was so drawn into this book, these characters, this story. I’m so pleasantly surprised. I listened to another book by this author and loved it so I felt I could trust her with another credit and I was right. Really wonderful, fully realized characters who you want to stick with. Also this narrator is the absolute best. All characters and accents are spot on (at least to my American ears) and she stays ‘out of the way’ so you can just be absorbed in the story. One of my favorite ones out there, by far. (Because MAN a narrator can ruin a book!) Also—for what its worth—I am so happy someone uses their lower register for female characters instead of constantly making every woman breathy and child-like. For that alone I want to give this 5 stars.

It was just a good story..
This was a good story but nothing terribly exciting. It got a little heart pounding around chapter 50 and then listening as the stories intertwined and unraveled was good but I wasn't overly surprised. A good read to pass the time overall but was looking for a story with more shock value.

Lovely book!
I really enjoyed this book. I wanted to continue to listen to it even when I had to stop. It was just enough suspense to keep you interested.I enjoyed the authors take on this kind of love story. And mystery.
