Publisher's Summary

After being kicked out of college due to false claims of plagiarism, Jason's life has taken a turn for the worse. Swamped with student loans and unable to pay rent, he is literally at his wit's end when he meets Guy Winters. Everything about Guy is fascinating: his lifestyle, his appearance, his generosity. So when Jason faces potential homelessness, he agrees to move in, but it isn't long before he realizes that Guy seems different. He's vague about where he works, the temperature is always freezing in his home, and his touch renders Jason breathless beyond what any passion should.
After a home invasion leaves a man dead, a horrifying truth comes to life. Guy isn't human, and another of his kind is in Austin, leaving trail of bodies in its wake that frames both men for murder. With Jason's fingerprints in the apartment and a gunshot that will have sent the police department scrambling, there's no time to explain. The only thing they can do is run.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Definitely! I enjoyed both the story and the narrator

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I think the book is fine as it is

What about Joel Leslie’s performance did you like?

I thought he did well portraying all the characters in their own way

Do you think His Touch of Ice needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes. I would love to see more of what happens.

Any additional comments?

I have to say there was one point where I actually laughed pretty hard. And it wasn't even intentional. It was an editing error with the audiobook. The narrator messes up a line about 2/3 of the way in and he stops and says "Oh my GOD I can't..." Then he starts the line over and gets it correct. But still that one burst of annoyance was so unexpected it made me laugh.

Very entertaining, a great story

What made the experience of listening to His Touch of Ice the most enjoyable?

how easy it was to get involved on the story, also how easy was to undestand what was going on. English is not my first lenguage and i was able to undestand it well enough, i didn't get lost on who was talking since the change of voive was very clear.

What did you like best about this story?

the plot, it was very unexpected, full of twists and action

Which scene was your favorite?

there wasn't one, there were severa of favorite scenesl, mostly the ones when a major plot twist was explain, like the moment before they runaway or when Guy explain some stuffs to Jason but I'm not going to say more to leave the review free from spoilers

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes, but i didn't have the time so ot took me a while. When i could i try to listen to as long as possible.

A bit disappointing

What did you like most about His Touch of Ice?

The story was good, engaging and full of action. The narration was excellent. Joe Lesley as always does an incredible job of bringing the characters to life.

Would you be willing to try another book from Kody Boye? Why or why not?

I have to get the next book at least to see what happens, and hope its not another cliffhanger.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Most of them. I like the parts where Guy does his chill thing.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book isn't particularly humorous, or filled with heart wrenching prose but I definitely became invested in the characters.

Any additional comments?

My disappointment with this book comes entirely from the end. IT JUST STOPS. It's at a pivotal point, a MASSIVE cliffhanger and..... gone. I do not like this sort of book and had I been aware, might not have bought it, at the very least until the next was available!
