I could listen to Joel Leslie read ANYTHING (everything!)

Oh my hotness... I swear every time I listen to Joel Leslie, he gets more sultry. His voice flows, entices you to listen just a few more minutes. He brings Lloyd & Luke to life, bringing out their unique personalities.

This is my favorite Andrea Smith/Eva LeNoir book to date! While slightly annoying in Black Balled, Guns Blazing brings Lloyd to life. We get to see the man behind the submissive. Luke Gunner. Mmmm... how I'd like to keep him! He picks Lloyd up and is determined to never put him back. The chemistry is off the charts and then they added Joel Leslie (yes, I'm fan girling, lol).
I've listened to this twice and will probably go back again.

Lloyd Surprised Me!

If you could sum up Guns Blazing in three words, what would they be?

Fan-freakin'-tastic!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Guns Blazing?

Bathroom scene!

What about Joel Leslie’s performance did you like?

Excellent!

Who was the most memorable character of Guns Blazing and why?

Lloyd. I didn't know he had it in him!

Any additional comments?

I'd truly like to take a peek into these two authors wicked minds! They've mastered their writing relationship down to perfection giving me many happy hours of reading pleasure, laugh out loud and fan-grabbing moments. Black Balled was a was a very special read for me. I have to admit that my four-star rating of the book made me feel a tad ashamed; but then Joel Leslie narrated it and I had no option but to up my rating. Unexpected and much to my delight, Hard Edit was published and once again, I was drawn into the Larson Blackburn and Troy Babilonia's steamy saga. This second book rounded up their story perfectly since I felt that the two protagonists deserved to find what they'd been looking for. I must say that I was never waiting for the spin-off, Guns Blazing. A heart had been broken along the way though, and now I got to hear Lloyd Letterbetter's side of the story. Better said, he's new beginning!

My ooh my! I have no words to describe how much I love listening to Joel's skilful narrations. His ability to fit into each and everyone's personality is nothing less than commendable. However, I wasn't too keen on Lloyd's voice at first which was quite surprising seeing that he'd pulled Larson and Troy's off perfectly in Black Balled. But then Lloyd, an extremely successful criminal solicitor, kinda wiggled his way under my skin and it was him speaking his thoughts out loud to me. He still has a chip on his shoulder and still carrying a heavy heart after his hot sweet affair with Larson. Feeling shunned by 'my man', he can't seem to get it together! There's no doubt he dominates his profession to a T; however, at times, his personal issues seemed to take precedence. In the bedroom . . . hmm, I was really in for a surprise or two and couldn't have been happier to see that he wasn't the man I thought he was!

Lloyd is going to be given a run for his money and make him question a thing or two when the most unlikely individual he has yet to come across strolls into his office. I loved the way the the two of them weighed each other up. And if there were ever two characters I didn't think would hit it off, it's them! Yep, they're as different as chalk and cheese so I asked myself, "Why then is Lloyd even giving Luke Gunner the time of day?" Aah, apart from being attracted to his future client's cocksure and 'mucho-macho' attitude, the man who wants the 'best' in town to defend him has one hell of a challenging problem. Luke's uses his gift to control his business with dodgy undertones also opens Lloyd's appetite. And to top the lot, he needs Luke's expertise to get him out of a tight spot. Is Lloyd's inquisitiveness going to get the better of him? How the heck does he go about dealing with someone who appears to have a twenty-twenty vision, a sublime IQ and for a better word, tickle his fancy?

Luke Gunner made me go weak at the knees with his sexy crooning! What a smooth talking drop-dead gorgeous and convincing hunk of a man he is. Add rippling abs in all the right places was easily envisaged with Joel's narrative expertise. I have to add that a humorous sarcasm makes for an easy 'listening experience'. Thank you so much ladies for giving me the pleasure of listening to Troy and Larson's thoughts, their advice and their gorgeousness. As always in stories written by Andrea and Eva, there's always a hell of a lot of excitement overflowing with innuendos, severely good bellyaching laughter and more important, well-developed plots that make you think what's going to happen next! Ooh yes; I have to mention that there's one scene which was without a doubt, very well received. Told in past tense and with the main character's point of view isn't one of my fave narrative structures. Nonetheless, it worked! BRAVO ladies!

Wow

The narrator is brilliant!! Absolutely brilliant!! The authors did a wonderful job of adding different elements to the story as the characters learn each other and lean out of their norm... would definitely recommend.

5 stars for Guns Blazing-Highly Recommended!

I have to admit that when I read Black Balled I wasn't too impressed with Lloyd Ledbetter. Then again, in that book my focus was centered on Larson and Troy so anyone getting in the way of them would have been a nuisance and on my "get lost pal" list. So when I heard about Guns Blazing, I was thinking that reading it could wait since I was annoyed by Lloyd already. But that's the thing about reading other characters' stories-you discover a whole other part of them that you didn't know you wanted to find, and once you do you're kicking yourself for not reading it sooner. So yeah--here's me, kicking myself. Hard. I should have known better just based on the awesome writing in Black Balled that Guns Blazing would be just as awesome.

As annoying a character as I thought Lloyd was previously, here in Guns Blazing his organized, successful, but still submissive self was a real treat. Luke Gunner is quite the complement to him with his dominating attitude, and watching the two of them play off each other had me laughing quite a bit. Luke wants Lloyd right from the start-no matter that it's not appropriate seeing how Lloyd is Luke's attorney...his criminal attorney-and he manipulates things so what he wants, he gets-and Lloyd winds up steamrolled and going right along with it. One place Lloyd is not submissive? In his attorney role. He's brilliant, powerful, and just a force to be reckoned with.

The drama is addicting-as are Lloyd and Luke's sexual exploits (oh my hotness!), and I read this story straight through without stopping. The best part about Andrea Smith and Eva LeNoir's storytelling? The fantastic witty banter between the characters. It's some of the best I've ever read, and makes this series one I will be re-reading many times.

Now take everything I've said, and toss in Joel Leslie narrating the story. Pure. Gold. His narration is perfect, and really made Lloyd and Luke come to life for me. You can feel Lloyd's transformation from his submissive self to commanding, in-charge attorney in Joel's words, and his interpretation of Lloyd is probably one of my favorite character narrations.

5 stars to Guns Blazing, and 5 stars to Joel Leslie's narration. While you could technically read this as a standalone, I would definitely suggest reading Black Balled first-it will make Guns Blazing much more enjoyable for you. Highly recommended for M/M romance fans 18+ (for adult language and explicit M/M sexual content)...and yes, I'm still over here kicking myself for waiting to read this. Now that I have, I'll be reading--and listening--again and again.

Fast and interesting

I came for Joel Leslie's narrations and found a very good story. I don't think the title does it justice, There is a crime and mystery to be solved and a refreshing backstory. Our main characters are both so strong minded the mini battles they have are amusing. They are sexy and hot together for sure so you get a full ride. Worth the buy or the credit.

They did it again!!

Andrea Smith and Eva LeNoir have a way with words, but add in the sexy voices of Joel Leslie, its perfection! This story gives us a better picture of Lloyd and his neat and orderly life, and the force that is Luke Gunner! Reading these scenes is one thing, but having it read in a soothing sexy voice, I have a more vivid picture of Lloyd and Luke's good times! This story is fast and keeps you on your toes, as Lloyd fights to keep the man he loves a free man! This is a great bridge to Hard Edit, to keep up with everyone's favorite guys!
