2008. The California desert. A four-year-old boy disappears, plunging his parents into the public hell of a media witch-hunt. Confusing and the ending is not enough

Someone recommended this to me, and though I typically like this kind of story, I found this one very confusing and hard to follow. I agree with the other reviewer--there were parts that made me want to keep listening, and some parts that were so dull or confusing I'd find my mind wandering.

I found the end very disappointing. I really wanted a lot more information about the characters.

The performances were all excellent.

I don't think I'd recommend this book, and I'm pretty generous usually with recommendations.

BOOOO! what an absolutely huge disappointment!!!

What disappointed you about Gods Without Men?

The ending just leaves all the story lines hanging and completely unresolved... this SUCKS BIG TIME!!!

What was most disappointing about Hari Kunzru’s story?

Again the unresolved ending... like the author just gave up.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Gods Without Men?

Any additional comments?

Promising but only that

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The premise is quite good - people over time tied by a place without knowing... But since the reader knows it would have been good to do something with it.
Well written but goes nowhere, a bit of a shame !
