But instant attraction turns to a disaster in the making when Maddy learns the identity of her superman: Kerr McKinnon. Of all the colorful residents of the small Cotswold town of Ashcombe, why did it have to be him? Because, as family feuds go, the Montagues and the Capulets have nothing on the Harveys and the McKinnons.

The premise of Falling for You was just too dumb. Maddy's family hates Kerr's entire family because his brother killed Maddy's sister by driving recklessly as a teen. Sorry, but blaming an entire family for the actions of one person is stupid, immature and how wars get started.
When Maddy (now an adult) and others allowed this family grudge to influence their lives, I lost all interest in this book. While there were some entertaining parts, I winced every time a supposedly mature person acted like a bratty child.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
A UK-born narrator.
What other book might you compare Falling for You to and why?
You and me, Always by Jill Mansell!!
How did the narrator detract from the book?
They could have chosen a British person to narrate one of my favourite books. The terribly fake 'English' accent, with a hard to hide American twang, took far too much away from the story. It broke my heart to have to hear it, but I give props to the narrator for trying so very hard.
Any additional comments?
I think Susie Riddell is the perfect narrator for Mansell's novels. Shes' Wonderful!!!!
