Most Fabulous Book

What made the experience of listening to Fallen Elements the most enjoyable?

This is a wonderful listen. I was sad when it ended as I was so engrossed in the story line. The girl gets the girl, there is magic and wonderful characters superbly played by the narrator. This is a hidden treasure. Please read as you will be delighted. BTW, it's not just for lesbians but readers who love romance, intrigue, magic and happy endings.
I was looking for lesbian romance so I entered "lesbian". The list has 107 pages comprised of at least 100 pages of gay (men) books. Terrible sorting by Audible.
This was hidden around page 70.

Interesting twist to the story

The story grabs your attention right after first couple of chapters and never lets it go. I found it hard to stop listening and looked forward to the end. A happy end thank goodness.
However, at the beginning I found the voice reading the story to be irritating. I especially disliked her tone of the voice for Lia - the main character of 45 years old - sounding like a teenager. The voice was missing the depth and maturity for some characters . But I got used to it and in the end it wasn't so bad after all.
Read it or listen to it, your choice - you would still like this book.
