Publisher's Summary

Grecia, siglo v a. C.

When a good story is also good history

Chicot offers here an irresistible enigma, well developed characters in a beautiful complex story and even a classic fatalistic tragedy without indulging in any excess. You will enjoy diving into the lives and mind of ancient men and woman as if they were real people you could meet anywhere, so much more real because their lives and thoughts were real, and the rich ethnographic and historical details will make them come to life .

Beautiful life stories and fascinating enigmas can be found in all world History, but it takes academic work to decipher the original sources or we have to be content with predigested pop versions where the writer has political agendas or where FX are all that matters, such as the convenient fixes in the recent Ragnarok or the llamas in Troy (just check the movie!). This book is like food from a great cook: you realize just how bad fast food really is even if you enjoyed it while consuming it.
