Publisher's Summary

Being an undercover poison taster for the rich and famous might sound glamorous, but for Isobel Avery it means stomaching bad clients and even worse coffee. Join her as she protects the sexy client she'd like to strangle, dodges the terrifying loan shark, and hunts down the bad guy.
A fresh and funny romantic mystery series about a witty, down-to-earth heroine with a job you've never seen before.
Please note: As shown in the sample, the Australian heroine is not given an accent in this audiobook. This decision was made because the series is set in the US, and early listeners found it easier to listen to and get immersed in the story without continually switching between accents.

A humorous & fun cozy mystery

The premise to this series is so intriguing & I love to go "behind the scenes" of a poison taste testers world. I also really enjoyed the chemistry & banter between Izzy & Conner, plus the addition of Etta as a character was brilliant!
I was a little bummed that Izzy didn't have an Australian accent.. this was compounded by the fact that her roommate Oliver was British & he had a British accent. So if Izzy is Australian, why does she have no accent at all? It was just strange, but not a deal breaker. The narration was done well & really brought all the characters to life.
I was provided this audiobook & voluntarily reviewed it.

I loved it!!!

Chelsea Field is a new author to me and Nikita Palombi is a new narrator to me. I found this book to be original and a fun listen. Although the main character is Australian, the narrator did not give her the accent. I thought this was a fun, light mystery that was perfect for relaxing. The story is not overly suspenseful, but cheerful with the quirky characters and action. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator, and.or publisher. This book is part of a series and is a standalone listen.
