Publisher's summary

Remy Morgan, a young girl born and raised in the heart of the ghetto, gets caught up in the life when she meets a drug lord who offers her the world. Young and naive, she is trapped in a game of lies, deception, and greed and learns the hard way that everything that glitters ain't gold. After her love is slain, Remy is forced back into the life that she desperately tried to forget.

Remy has kept a diary of her life for the past two years. What she writes inside is a tale of love, passion, money, and secrecy - and ultimately a witness to her tragic end.

Ashley and JaQuavis take you into the world of Remy Morgan, and not until after her death is the truth revealed. You think you know, but you have no idea.

Great story

The story line was very good but the reader was dry. The story keeps you intrigued.

Issa Nah for me Dawg!

After listening to Moth to a Flame and Ethic this book fell completely flat for me and I seriously questioned every one of the people who said this book was good, like HOW SWAY!? How was this book good? When was it good? What part? The narrator is HORRIBLE. Like SERIOUSLY HORRIBLE and she should never read this type of book!!! Her cadence was off and she paused at awkward times. Hearing her say the 'N' word made me cringe because her "hood" was SO unbelievable that it almost sounded like a Caucasian woman saying it. Then the random phone and doorbell noises out of no where - what in the world!? The storyline is something that someone in junior high wrote, the character development was all over the place, some characters barely got a sentence and others got almost a chapter- which was unnecessarily long. I kept listening like this has to get better, it just has to. But it NEVER did!. Everyone in this book was a hoe, crackhead or drug dealer...that's it! Then in chapter 8 the author(s) had the nerve to give themselves a shout out. This is definitely NOT their best work of art and this is not the book I would have wanted to shout my name out, if I were them. Just bad. All bad. It was predictable with the exception of the parental revaluation which happens in the last chapter. Do NOT read/listen to this book if you have already listened to some of the author(s) more recent books, it will make you feel like you are going backwards and really allow you to see just how much they have improved over time- THANKFULLY!! Now, when is Ethic 2 coming!???

Too Unbelievable

I really wanted to like this book. But the Narrator kept reading like she was trying to be cute or doing an audition for a movie part. She had absolutely no emotion when reading and this book had potential. I may try to finish later if I can get past the Narrator...I highly doubt it though.

Good Story, Not so good Narrator

I love reading/listening to Ashley & JaQuavis stories, they always loop you in. Yet this Story was okay. Honey was a little dry when reading but I stuck it out because I want to read the whole series.I usually like Honey, maybe she didnt like this book much herself.

After a while I was getting extremely annoyed by the choices Remy was making it was like all her common sense drained her brain. She had a lot of street in her but wasn't thinking like a Street Boss women. If only she had listened and followed directions and stopped trusting everybody. There were a few repeat passages/thoughts. It was really dumbed-down for the readers

Decent story but...

The main character is as dumb as dirt and the legal scenes are truly awful.

very good story line.

A good read. With all the twist and turns. The loyalty to someone who seems like he didn't care. I love it. Even the end was a shocker.
