Publisher's summary

Ever have one of those days?

You know the ones.

When your wicked stepmother, the one who tried to drown when you were a baby, asks her mirror who's the fairest of them all, and the mirror, whose opinion is only an opinion, says it's you, and so she spends your whole young adult life trying to kill you off, so that she can once again be the prettiest, and now it's your wedding day, and she still won't let up?

No?

Just me?

Sigh.

Anyway, long ago, in a land far away, there lived a beautiful princess named Snow White.

Okay, it wasn’t long ago, it was just a few minutes ago.

And it wasn’t far away, it was the Bad Apple Miniature Golf Course/Action Fun Park in New Jersey.

Come join your favorite characters: Snow White, the Queen, and the Pepperoni Prince. And of course, the dwarfs: Farty, Disorderly, Complimentary, Turkey, Sleazy, Juicy, and Smug.

All the things you remember from your happiest childhood story, like talking mirrors, poison apples, magic bungee cords, zombies, and flatulence.

Guaranteed to bring on that old nostalgic feeling.

Fun listen

Fun series to listen to, you never know where they are going to go next. Great narrator too. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Somewhat funny but dumb

I think this book was written for a young guy. It's kind of funny in spots and I get the humor but it's not really for me. I think it would appeal more to men on the younger side. The narration was appropriate for this book. If it was narrated by someone else I probably would not have even stuck this one out until the end. A goofy fun little tale

I hadn't heard of this series before, and I picked it out on a whim, thought I'd try something new, and got a pleasnt surprie in reward for my curiousity.

The book is everything I love. It is funny, witty, and irreverent. It is a clever bon mots made to look like an amouche bouche.Richard really puts it all out there, this is like Caddyshack with dwarves. Dear plays his parts perfectly, and he has excellent comedic timing, too. He adds to the humor with every syllable. I would love to tell you more about the Pepperoni Prince or Farty, but I think sometimes, jokes just have to blow you away on their own, and if you have to explain it, then the humor vanishes like a fart in the wind.

A new favorite series of mine. Imma gonna keep the eye out for dem.

D is for Dwarf

Warning: Adult humor, juvenile humor, adult language, and potty humor, but hey, this is not your kids tale of Snow White. I couldn’t help but chuckle throughout. Marc Richard delivered a great modernized version of the tale and David S. Dear’s performance was perfect.

short and oddball take on Snow White

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was a short and oddball take on Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. For what it was, it was humorous and very entertaining. They are narrated well but definitely not for kids!

E is for Entertaining

I had never listened to any of Marc Richards "Alphabet Books" before, but I enjoyed my time with this short story that is based very, very loosely on Snow White. It may not be the type of humor for everyone, but I went in expecting it to be a little over the top and irreverent. It was both of those things. I anticipated that some of the antics were going to go too far as the story progressed. However, I thought Richards did a good job of not going over the line. It may be classified as somewhat sophomoric humor- but I thought it was funny- so who cares! The narrator's New York accent works well with the story.

laughed all the way through

This book was just what i needed! i laughed from the beginning to the end. It throws a whole new light on the dwarves and other well known characters. Definitely worth a read when you want a good laugh. I loved the part at the pizza place, and of course the hair brushing lol!

Delightful Diversion

Ok. That is definitely a different description of the dwarves drama... and Snow White too! The Evil Queen is still jealous. The Prince may be charming and the Huntsmen is in sales? Along the way, a zombie shows up.

Remember, this is not your child’s ABC Book. In fact, there is a “C” word used a couple times that makes me cringe! Richard’s edgy adult twists on fairy tales and stories of lore are certainly creative. Each alphabet story is short but a fun . The audio version is fun as Dear creates some distinct voices for the characters including Farty and SlimyDwarf, not to mention Mirror, Mirror.
