In the late 1800s, the adventurous Reagan Sullivan leaves the bustle of New York City and moves to the wide open spaces of Texas, to work as a nanny. Fiercely independent and headstrong, she trusts no man - not even God. But when Reagan meets Cash Rawlings, she embarks on an adventure she never anticipated. As they have many conversations about spirituality, her fears miraculously melt away, and she opens up her heart to Christ.

She learns that she is "the marring kind".

Would you listen to City Girl again? Why?
This story is a fun, gentle read, and my favorite of this series. New Yorker, Reagan Sullivan, leaves the bustling life of New York behind when she heads off toTexas for adventure. She has answered an advertisement to become a nanny. Upon arrival, she learns that the position was filled when the widower she was to work for remarried. Not one to give up easily, Reagan is determined to find her place in Texas.

What other book might you compare City Girl to and why?
Short-Straw Bride by Karen Witemyer because the heroine in the story has a physical ailment that she feels has left her" inadequate", and even with a ready proposal, she knows it is only due to her inheritance.

Which scene was your favorite?
Reagan's banter with her boss, and when she tosses the dirty dishwater on an unsuspecting cowboy,

If you could rename City Girl, what would you call it?

Sweet without the filthy language or immortality

Really enjoyed this last book in the series. I keep thinking the next book won’t be as good and the author proves me wrong. Really enjoyed.
