Publisher's Summary

You have 10 seconds to make a decision: Let a kidnapper take your child, or watch your son die. Choose!
Sadie O'Connell is a bestselling author and a proud mother. But her life is about to spiral out of control. After her six-year-old son Sam is kidnapped by a serial abductor, she nearly goes insane. But it isn't just the fear and grief that is ripping her apart. It's the guilt. Sadie is the only person who knows what the kidnapper looks like. And she can't tell a soul. For if she does, her son will be sent back to her in "little bloody pieces".
When Sadie's unfaithful husband stumbles across her drawing of the kidnapper, he sets into play a series of horrific events that sends her hurtling over the edge. Sadie's descent into alcoholism leads to strange apparitions and a face-to-face encounter with the monster who abducted her son--a man known only as…The Fog.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely. It was an excellent story, and very spooky in parts.... loved it. Am so happy I bought it

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked just about every character.... had a soft spot for Irma and Ed, and Jay of course.

What about Denice Stradling’s performance did you like?

Her reading was not too fast, nor too slow (a big issue with a lot of narrators), and she didn't do too badly with the different voices. Her voice was easy to listen to as well

Who was the most memorable character of Children of the Fog and why?

Adam and Ashleigh

Any additional comments?

I finished this book at 2am this morning - couldn't stop listening to it.... And even debated turning the lights on at a few points

Missing kid thriller with supernatural overtones

Pretty good story and plot and character development. Some of it was predictable. This mom is a terrible mom, by the way. She obviously has no idea how to throw an enjoyable kids party and puts her obviously mentally disturbed kid robbed alone every night even when there's a scary kid appear on the loose. WTF? Anyway, if you can get past the lameness of the mom and despicable behavior of the cheating, lying, felon, deceptive, loser husband, the story is sort of interesting.
