Publisher's summary

Nervous flyer Emma is sitting on a turbulent plane. She really thinks that this could be her last moment. So she starts telling the man sitting next to her all her innermost secrets: How she scans the backs of intellectual books and pretends she's read them. How she's not sure if she has a G-Spot. How she feels like a fraud at work. How she once threw a troublesome client file in the bin. If ever there was a bare soul, it's hers. She survives the flight, of course, and the next morning the famous boss of the whole mega corporation she works for is coming for a look at the UK branch. As he walks around, Emma looks up and realises it's the man from the plane.

An enjoyable listen

This is my first taste of Sophie Kinsella's writing and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sure it will never be a classic fiction piece, but for light, fun listening it's well worth the effort. Mind you, I did want to shake the central character Emma sometimes, especially near the end when things got scary for her with something her friend was doing against her wishes, but I suppose the author needed to wring it out for a dramatic ending.

If you can forgive that, you'll be fine.

The narrator did a great job too!

Pathetic

WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!! A holiday read? Truly no one can be THIS desperate?

The story line is worse than any Mills and Boons paperback I've ever read.

I truly thought I could do with an easy listen whilst on holiday - I couldn't even get past chapter 5 and that's after fast forwarding!!

This doesn't even deserve 1 star, but I had to put down a rating.

I also don't like the narrator her voice is not "listeanable".

Oh the absolute worst ever - Don't waster your credits or your megs to download.

Main character is long winded

Hard to finish listening thought i made it though. Bot a fan of the main character. Its suited for an introvert who thinks too much and goes round and round. If you are one, you will probably be able to follow / like the book. Not for me though.

Emma isn't as lovable as Becky

Although I enjoyed the book, I didn't fall in love with Emma, like I did with Becky in the Shopaholic series.
I finished the book this morning and already I can't remember the name of Emma's boyfriend. I didn't like him and can't understand why he acted the way he did.

Good Fun

I don't often laugh aloud when reading books, but this one had me smiling and laughing the whole way through. It was cute, romantic and an enjoyable fluffy read. I was disappointed that the ending seemed a bit rushed and the Connor character was not exactly believable the whole way through, but I still would recommend this book for light reading.
