Publisher's summary

A new year begins - and Bridget Jones, the globally best selling, unflinchingly self-disciplined, and definitely practically nonsmoking heroine, is about to discover what happens when you have the man of your dreams actually in your flat and he hasn't been to the supermarket - not just tonight, but ever.

Lurching from the cappuccino bars of Notting Hill to the blissed-out shores of Thailand, searching for The Truth in spite of pathetically unevolved men, insane dating theories, and Smug Married advice, Bridget experiences a zeitgeist-esque Spiritual Epiphany somewhere between the pages of How to Find the Love You Want Without Seeking It, protective custody, and a lightly chilled Chardonnay. With another devastatingly hilarious, ridiculous, unnervingly accurate take on modern womanhood, Bridget Jones is back.

Please note: This is the adridged edition. An unabridged version is also available.

More Marvelous stuff

I *loved* Bridget Jones. Hilarious, heartwarming stuff. It's pretty hard to follow that up. This is quite good as sequels go, and is definitely worth it to hear more about Bridget and her insecurities. The reading is superb--each character not only sounds totally different, but completely embodies who the character is as well.

Almost as Good

This was good, but I didn't like it as much as the first Bridget Jones I listened to, which was Unabridged and narrated by Barbara Rosenblat.

Better book to read than listen to

My concept of Bridget's voice is shaped by Renee Zellweger in the movie. This narrator is really painful to listen to. I don't like her voice at all and some of the characters were brutal with how loud she was. I almost didn't finish listening to it but if you liked "Diary" you'll like this as well.

Lesson learned - listen to a snippet before purchasing. The narrator's voice and inflections are major drawbacks if they are annoying. So read the book instead!

Couldn't Finish

I have a folder in my Audible Manager called "did not finish." That's where this book ended up. I didn't care for the narrator at all, and found the story rather boring.

Shrill

I don't know how anyone could sit through this audiobook. The narrator is horrible. She's mumbling one minute and shrieking the next. I've tried to listen to it a few times now and cannot get through more than five or ten minutes.

Best Narrator on Audible

The narration is lively, colorful, and creative. Honestly, I like this narrator and the way she reads this fabulous story so much that I have listened more times than I can count. If you're looking to be entertained, you won't be disappointed.

Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason

Love the Bridget Jones series. This one was entertaining but not as good as the first one, (my opinion). Worth a listen if you enjoy the series.

So so sad

It pains me to give Bridget such a low rating. I love Bridget. Love everything about her. Have read the books a billion times. However, THIS NARRATOR IS TERRIBLE!!! I couldn't make it more that about an hour. She wheezes and spits out some of the characters... making you want to strangle her and beg her to stop. She ruins a very very good thing.

A fun Romp; brings back great characters

If you want some fun reading this summer, and if you enjoyed the movie, you will like this book. It starts out with Bridget and Darcy together, so you know there is a break up in the works; and goes from there; sex, drinking, wild parties what more can you want from a summer read?

The bit from Thailand dragged some, but I look forward to the next one.
