Publisher's Summary

In the Pemberley collection, Amazon best-selling author Ayr Bray continues the story of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, Jane Austen's most beloved characters from her novel Pride and Prejudice. Immerse yourself in Regency England with these tales of heartbreak, adventure, and romance.
Ghosts from the past keep a family apart in Blinded Recluse, the third instalment in Ayr Bray's beloved Pemberley collection.
While all of Pemberley is preparing for the annual May Day celebration, tragedy strikes among the tenants. Paul Goss is losing his fight against a mysterious illness and stands at death's door. With his blind daughter, Daisy, soon to be orphaned, he makes one last request: find his estranged reclusive father and bring him home so Daisy will be taken care of.
Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam rush to his aid, but the far-reaching effects of a 30-year-old scandal stand in the way of their success. Can they touch the old recluse's heart and help him see how much Daisy needs him, or will Daisy be left to rely on the charity of strangers?
In Blinded Recluse, the charming denizens of Ayr Bray's Pemberley learn the importance of family and security in a tale sure to tug at your heartstrings.

Poor Daisy...

Daisy was probably the most lovable of all the characters in this series. I wish I could give this a higher rating; had I read it on my own I probably would have given it a higher rating but again, Stevie Zimmerman provided this character, the damsel in distress, a grating voice. Stevie did the same for Lady Aimée de Bourbon. She stars in the second volume of this series. In that series, I thought that Stevie didn't really care for that character hence her decision to provide her with an overly obnoxious tone of voice, but that was the same tone of voice she provided Daisy. I dearly wish she'd decided differently.

Set aside the narration, the plot line was much improved from the second volume. It had such heart. I definitely recommend this book to any fan of Jane Austen.
