Culturally incorrect
People who grow up on the reservation identified in this book have a particular accent. The reader made no effort to change her tone or accent to signify which character she was reading. Coupled with this were some culturally incorrect references and many grammatical and pronunciation errors which made this an unpleasant listen. Unfortunately, most readers won’t have lived on said reservation (as I have) and will come away with some very wrong ideas about the people there.
PLEASE, if you’re going to portray a culture, DO THE RESEARCH.
