Publisher's summary

Dark Adventure Radio Theatre's Bad Medicine brings three classic tales of horror and medicine to life in a 1930s-style radio drama. Edgar Allan Poe's "The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar" and H.P. Lovecraft's stories "Cool Air" and "The Picture in the House" are brought to life by a talented cast of professional actors, exciting sound effects, and thrilling original music by Reber Clark.

This special anthology episode brings together three tales of unusual physicians and their even more unusual treatments. Can an aged physician stave off the grasp of death in "Cool Air"? Will a determined mesmerist unlock the mystery of mortality in "The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar"? And can an alienist free a young man crippled by horrifying memories in "The Picture in the House"?

A Trilogy of Medicinal Terrorized

This was a great trilogy of horrible healing. Two stories adapted from H.P. Lovecraft and one from Lovecraft’s favorite, Edgar Allan Poe. All were highly entertaining and masterfully performed by the Historical Society. Be sure to check out more Dark Adventure Radio Theater from these talented folks. I’m collecting them all!

All three stories are really well done

As the title suggests, these stories are done very well. I was hesitate on this volume but I’m glad that I picked it up as this is one of my favorite renditions of these classics. I especially like how The Picture in the Room was tweaked. Simply fantastic.

Truly thrilling radio dramatizations

Lovecraft, if still alive, would be really proud of these radio dramatizations of his works by the HPLS.
Simply, too notch productions and actors.
Faithful, yet enjoyable radio adaptations of Lovecraft's works!!
These adaptations are a joy to listen and re-listen, during those times, when you have a craving for Lovecraft's works.
I am really happy, Audible, carries them.
Thanks!!

Not the best of Dark Adventure Radio

This is a good introduction to Dark Adventure Radio Theater, featuring three short stories, one by Poe to by Lovecraft. Longer stories, like From the Mountains of Madness are much better.
