Cozy Christian Mystery

Anita Higman is a new author to me, while I have listened to Talmadge Ragan before. This book is a christian cozy mystery instead of a cozy mystery. The difference to me on the genre's is one refers to praying frequently and going to church while the later does not. The story was good and clean and had some unexpected twists. The story to me was reminiscent of a Nancy Drew mystery. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator. This book is part of a series and a standalone.

Mystery and a crocodile, oh my.

It strikes me that there doesn't seem to be a explanation for the stars that are given. So I thought I'd start giving my take on it.
1 horrible no redeeming qualities. So far I've never given a 1.
2 blah but there are redeeming qualities.
3 ok worth reading.
4 great but there's something off.
5 loved it.

So now about this story. This is the first book I've Listened/read, by Anita Higman but it won't be the last. It is a little confusing as it refers to the previous book a couple of times. I can't wait for more of this series, I want to say more about this story but I absolutely hate spoilers, so I won't do it to you by going into details.
Now about the narrator... I'm afraid there are many times when you hear a clicking and she repeats lines. Its very distracting and annoying.
Reasons I enjoyed this audio book:
Witty, Romantic, Wonderful characters, Great world building, Unpredictable, Entertaining, Action-packed, Funny.
Bookshelves/tags:
contemporary, humorous, mystery, romance, series, sweet.
This Audiobook was given to me for free at my request from the publisher, author or narrator and I provided this unbiased voluntary review.

An enjoyable sweet cozy

*note to Audible: there are audio errors where the narrator rerecords a few scenes in chapters 6 & 21

This is my first foray into this series, and I must say I was very pleasantly pulled in. Although this is a "Christian mystery" it is not heavy on biblical themes, so before you let that possibly deter you, give it a shot! It's a nice cozy with all the elements of suspense & intrigue. But I personally loved the other running plot lines in the book which involve personal relationships between the characters. The mystery of the house itself was fun to follow along. The author does a pretty good job, the characters are distinguishable & unique. The ending was a little soft, but all in all I felt very sucked into the plot and invested in these characters.
I received this audiobook from the author/narrator and gave a fair and honest review.
