another great book

I love this series everything related to aliens it's another story definitely would listen to this and everything else in the series

Movie Worthy

What can I say, great story, great narration. Visceral action and suspense combined with smooth storytelling. This book put me into the universe and didn't let go. This is what Alien Resurrection should have been instead of casting a weak story about a Ripley clone. Alex White hit a home run!

Good attempt but missed the mark

Author tried something different but I couldn't enjoy the story. Couldn't connect with the characters.

Stunning performance. Hand me biting nails and rooting for Blue and the xenomorphs till the end. And it has probably one of the best (worst) antagonist I've ever encountered. Loved every second.

Flawless entry

This is a wondeful indepth sci-fi, with deep characters and masterfully written. A fitting entry in the Aliens universe. Pitch perfect. Hope theres more to come.

I was very pleased

I have been itching for more"Alien" lately and this book kept me satisfied for the past few days. it had a few moments where I wish it had been written slightly different but that's probably just me being picky about my "Alien" and it was easy to look past those small details.

ultimately it left me wanting me wanting more, in a very good way though! I hope to see more from Alex in this universe.

Michael was a delight to listen to and played each character perfectly and evoked all the right emotions throughout the book, in my opinion.

Good story, but a bit drawn out.

As a lifelong fan of the Alien franchise, I was excited to listen to this one, but I was also a bit cautious because some of the more recent Alien novels mucked about with canon and really screwed up their depiction of Ripley. "The Cold Forge," however, is an original story about a researcher studying the aliens and a sadistic company bean counter determined to ruin her life and work.

The story's great, but the book is definitely padded with a lot of filler. If the publisher had trimmed some of the fat, I would have easily given this one five stars.

Don't let that discourage you, though, because it's a great story. Just be prepared for the story to slog in a few places.

Really?!

I have never had an experience where I hated every single character in a story. I’m not sure if it was the narration or the writing. For as much as loved the book I really wanted it to end differently

Dark angry characters

Good narration poor story. Character actions inconsistent. Obvious bloopers and errors if you’re paying attention. I didn’t like any of the characters in the story.
