I would like to say that this book was interesting, and it kind of was in a rambling, not going anywhere way. I was constantly waiting for the story to start but it never did and then before I knew it it was finished and I was left feeling a bit cheated, as if I had invested my time but had no return. Perhaps I just didn't get the point of the book??

What made the experience of listening to A Trick I Learned from Dead Men the most enjoyable?
I found the humour simply irresistible. It was a tender and touching novel and yet despite its topic in a morgue so funny too. I had not read any of Kitty Aldridge's books and by chance stumbled on this one in a book show on TV. I will most certainly read more of her writing.
What did you like best about this story?
Her dialogue is so true and the narrator is just perfect!
What does Kristopher Milnes bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
HIs self effacing tone in this narration made the character live for me. Seldom do you find such a perfect synchronicity
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I found the characters so delightful and quirky and sad too. I found myself drawn into the world and feelings of this family.
