Publisher's summary

If Peter Christopoulos has learned one thing from his last three years in a wheelchair, it’s that people have a hard time seeing past the hardware. When he asks out Russ Baker after giving him a quote on equipment for a new Greek restaurant, he’s disappointed but not surprised to be turned down.

Russ has been covering for his abusive boyfriend for so long it’s almost automatic, but with a little help from his friends, he finds the courage to break it off. To his surprise, Peter is still interested, and soon they’re falling hard and fast. But then their world is thrown into turmoil: Peter finds an old letter indicating he has a half sister he's never met, and Russ's past interferes when his ex makes it clear he'll do anything to get him back.

New Starts

This story reflects a lot of new beginnings and the way it moves there relationship forward as well. Sometimes being willing to try new things is the one thing that will bring about a series of changes. I love the way they bring out the best in each other. There is one big twist and it was interesting to see how that played out. I really enjoyed this story.
I listened to the audio version and it was very well done.

Sweet story, but not a favorite

This was a nice romance, but I didn’t really see any chemistry. The words were there, but no emotion. Jeff Gelder is a good reader, but I felt the whole way through that he really was just reading a story out loud. Some narrators make you really be able to feel the emotions, but in this case the reading seemed more mechanical, and a bit too fast and clipped. Reading it might have been better.

Amazing Story

I loved the story! I couldn't stop listening to it! I felt like I was personal friends with Peter & Russ. I am somewhat surprised at just how much I enjoyed this story!

sweet romantic story

Any additional comments?

I did like it, but I wanted more. Of what? I am not sure. Maybe of Peter and Russ getting to know each other without Barry always being brought up?
Two plot points disappointed me a little: we never really found out what happened with Barry. Did he stop stalking Russ or did he continue?
The other thing I wasn't wowed with was Peter's story line involving his long lost half-sister. It would have been fine if he had just set our to find her, but when she is found...and when her connection to another key person in the story is revealed, it seemed a little beyond belief. Granted, this is fiction, so not everything has to be realistic, but this seemed little too coincidental.
